How to play Mahjong
The general rule for playing Mahjong is matching two identical tiles. The challenge is that most tiles are blocked by other tiles. You can only remove a matched pair if the tiles are 'free', i.e. not blocked on the right or left side. It's also impossible to remove a tile when it is (partially) blocked by a tile on top of it. Try removing tiles so that there's always one match available after your previous move. This way, you'll never get stuck. When you can't match any more tiles, the game is over. Sometimes a Mahjong game features a shuffle option which mixes up the remaining tiles when you do get stuck so you get a second chance.
How to solve a Mahjong
Mahjongs are solved by removing all tiles from the board. To do so, you have to match two identical tiles. You win if you match all possible pairs and have cleared the playing field. You'll then proceed to the next Mahjong layout. Because of the different layouts, some Mahjong puzzles are harder to solve than others.
